Using EyeBeam, other party can not hear me on incoming calls

Post by necrocytosis »

Hello everyone.

I'm using my MJ SIP login info in EyeBeam (the paid-money version of X-Lite, but it's basically the same thing) and I am able to place calls all day long with great success. However, if anyone calls my MJ number, I see the call coming in and am able to answer it, but the calling party is unable to hear me. I can hear them just fine, but they are unable to hear me. They are, however, able to hear touchtones if I send them - just not my voice. This only applies to incoming calls.

I saw another user with a similar problem on one of the recent replies to the enormous thread "using another softphone", but nobody has provided a working solution. I'm sure lots of people have this same problem and I am anxious to get a working solution. I have searched these forums extensively for a solution and I have no alternative but to post asking for help.

I hope you guys can help! Thanks :)

Thank you. I had not yet found the solution you listed. I tried your suggestion and it worked. I disabled all audio codecs in my EyeBeam configuration except for "G711 aLaw". Hopefully others who are having this same problem will find this posting quickly and easily.

Thanks again!

Since I read this thread and found this post I will add this link to help keep the information somewhat organized with this example configuration.
