Just when i thought i have a handle on it

I added more memory to my computer. Now 4 GB. with 3.2GHZ processor. Hardly any programs. Give MJ priority. And what. Some calls break up. Now update.
This week I decided to pull up an old Pentium 3 with 128 mb ram and put a fresh install windows xp. Nothing else. Just MJ. Set it up with no monitor, no keyboard and no mouse. Sound quality has never been better. No dropped calls all week. Called my sister (was always choppy) and now great. My conclusion: It must all be in the ISP speed.

Yes please, I am curious too since it sounds more like it was a PC related issue than an ISP issue.

I just wanted to clean up and update my PC. So I was told the best way is add more memory and get rid of unused programs. However, i figured this would benefit MJ also. Clean PC made sense. But it's running better on my old Pentium 3.

But how does that lead you to conclude it's an ISP issue? My assumption is that both of these computers are on the same network, meaning it's not an ISP issue, but a PC issue

If your confused on definitions
ISP = Internet Service Provider - AKA The company that gives you internet
PC = Personal Computer - AKA Your computer.

Also, on my computer, I always keep my MJ process at NORMAL priority, I noticed that my calls also get choppy if I set it to anything higher :\

I believe it's a pc issue. But how is it that is runs better on the weaker PC?
Just a thought- could it be that my Pentium 4, because it shares memory for graphics is weaker than a Pentium 3 not using a monitor?

No, that's highly doubtul

I believe the reason to be an OS conflict issue. A clean install SHOULD solve it
