Works great with a FREE (100% rebate) American Telcom 2.4GHz phone that I got from Staples a couple of years ago (they still carry it but not with the rebate):

my cordless
Works great with Uniden DCT756-3!
Caller ID, call waiting, voicemail all working.
I also have two other older Uniden cordless phones and one of them (the oldest one - about 10 years old 600mhz) doesn't display CallerID but that is ok.
Other than that they all work and I have the MagicJack connected to my mainline for all the phones in the house and they all work together flawlessly!

nooB here
New to the VOIP world and MJ, just received my MJ and purchased a Uniden DECT 2060W So far it performs outstandingly, even in distance tests. I have one issue not getting the VM indicator light on the handset. Have been searching the archives for answers but have not yet found anything.
Hello, hello can you hear me now?
Voicemail indicator DOES NOT light up on your handset phone with magicjack.
You do receive emails from them with a sound clip of the voice mail.
If you need the voicemail in your cordless then set it up to go to voicemail of your cordless phone base in 3-4 rings. That way your machine will pick up the voice mail.

Since the MJ dongle does not have any way of knowing if an idle telephone is connected to it or not, your problem is probably not related to the telephone instrument but rather to the interface between the dongle and the PC. Also, the message you report indicates that the OS cannot see the dongle, regardless of what may or may not be connected to that dongle.
Does the blue light come on? Do you get "Ready to Call" on the screen? Are you connecting directly to your PC or through a (n underpowered) USB hub?

Blue light on and ready to call and the soft phone does work. Its plugged directly into computer using a good working USB 2.0 port.OS does indeed see the dongle, just not the handset.Any other ideas?mberlant wrote:Since the MJ dongle does not have any way of knowing if an idle telephone is connected to it or not, your problem is probably not related to the telephone instrument but rather to the interface between the dongle and the PC. Uniden DXI4560-2 works fine if plugged into a powered hub. I'm using a D-Link DUB-H4.

Panasonic KX-TC930-B (2-line) with a REN of 0.2B and an old Uniden EXP091 w/ren of 0.7B. No problems with either.
Yes, they are old 900MHz units, but we don't worry about them breaking.

Compatible phones
My Panasonic KX-TG2730 system (3 phones) works great. I got the set on ebay for $30. True is only 2.4GHz but works for me.
Cordless phone
Works with Uniden Model TRU9485 Power Max 5.8ghz digital with answering machine. No problems, plus the MJ unit is on a stand alone laptop with a P3 and running windows XP.

Dect 6.0 model 28111EE2-A
I have the GE Dect phone and it will not ring with Magic Jack. I asked their tech support and they don't know why either. Does anyone have any ideals?

Hello All,
Still searching the Forums but my Panasonic KX-TGA820CB can make and receive calls. However no caller ID (looking for a resister), Makes a fax noise when picks up (looking for the thread for that still after 1 hour on here), and I have to either wait for the second call to hang up before switching back to the first caller or I have to use the soft phone. Sometimes when I am in call waiting mode it will hang up both calls.
I am looking into another phone but I really like Panasonic Phones... Soooo???

Panasonic KX-TG6445 5 phones. The spoken caller ID only speaks 8 of the 10 digits of the incoming #. Calls are fine otherwise.

Hey Jack,
I knew I couldn't be the only one with the missing last 2 digits problem.
Let's hope someone comes up with a fix. I tried some of the other CID fixes on this forum and tried MagicFeatures with incoming calls from 2 different phones, but no joy yet.
Let me know if the free trial of Magic Features software works for you or anything else. I'm going to do a more thorough test of MagicFeatures.
Thanks
Rich

I think the issue is unrelated to any CID fixes currently out there..... I beleive it has to do with the length and stuff of the REN on magicJack. The REN power is not what I'm referring to, I beleive that the issue on these Panasonic phones is specific to magicJack. The length of the REN thingy that comes out of magicJack, I beleive, is what is causing the abrupt cut off.... but I'm not really sure.
I'm not too worried though, because the speaker of my CID speaking person has a HORRENDOUS ACCENT. How lovely to hear someone with an accent screaming out numbers and letters when one receives a call... but still, it's a nice feature. I would post a thingy regarding this, and ask for assistance... but I doubt many would know of the answer.....

I was in the process of buying a new phone for my MJ and referred to this thread. The search function did not work very well so I had to wade through it. I decide to make list of the devices that were posted in the thread. I couldn't find a way to upload a file so I just pasted it in. If anyone can tell me how to post a file I will.
