For some reason my phone calls are messing up. I really don't know how to explain it other than an electronic interruption that makes the person on the other line seem to 'stutter.' Maybe a lag? It's quite annoying and I'd really like to be able to fix it. At first I thought maybe it was because the internet wasn't fast enough but here are my figures:
ping: 38ms
upload: 1.91 mbps
download: 7.91 mbps
So it's plenty fast enough, it's a cable internet connection. Anyone know what could be going on here?

For VOIP specific tests in addition to just up/down load speed and ping, try some of the VOIP test sites. Here's one: http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/ Report back your results. Do a search for "voip test" and there are other sites offering tests.tabithaholmes wrote: ping: 38ms
