need help getting PAP2 back up

Anyone know the steps how I can get my linksys pap2 back up with magic jack? thanks for any info.

You can either run MJMD5 from a computer or if you have a router flashed with Tomato or DDWRT you can install MJMD5 on the router. The benefit of installing MJMD5 on a router is that you don't need a computer running on all the time.

Are you still running MJ on your 5720? Curious since you've done the router work. Is one preferable to the other? I guess using the router you don't need ANY computer on, just the ATA. Correct?

Hey OTC,
I stopped running mjproxy on my t5720 since I was able to get it working on my router.

I think the sound quality is the same when running mjproxy on my TC vs. my router. But since I leave my modem and router on 24x7, I wanted the flexibility of being able to turn off my TC and still have a working house phone since MJ is my only "landline".

Correct, by running mjproxy on my Tomato flashed router I no longer need a PC running mjproxy.

BTW, I also wanted to offload mjproxy from my t5720 because I'm working on setting it up as my HTPC (home theater PC) and want to run the bare minimum services. I ordered the expansion kit and the recommended PCI video card with 64MB of onboard RAM. I'm hoping this will improve my issues with streaming video and will allow me to improve my resolution which is currently only at 1024x768.
