COMPLETELY FREE CALLING TO ALL OF NORTH AMERICA WITH JADUKA

Post by JohnnyFreightTRAIN »

First of all, I apologize if anyone considers this as spam. But I figure quite a few people here would be interested. Anyone can make use of this service, weather they have a magicjack or not. I am talking about a COMPLETELY FREE service called Jaduka Labs. Basically it's BETA, and I'm assuming that's why its free. The only requirement is that you must register and confirm your email address.

"Jaduka's engineers created Jaduka Labs - an interactive showcase of useful applications and widgets - to demonstrate the power and clarity of Jaduka's voice communication technology."
-Quote from the Jaduka labs website.

Currently there are 6 web applications that you can use for free of charge, which you can view in full at the Jaduka labs website. Here are the useful ones:

Image
- earthCALLER - Call Home no Matter Where You Roam.
[[[Click for presentation]]]
earthCALLER lets you make FREE PC to phone calls to any North American phone number from anywhere on the planet from your web browser. All you need is a headset (or a microphone and headphones/earphones... Can use speakers but they aren't the best, gives you an echo if too loud) and and internet connection. ONLY WORKS WITH IE7.

Image
- dukaDIAL - Free Phone Calls.
[[[Click for presentation]]]
dukaDIAL lets you call any phone number in North America for FREE! Just enter your phone number and the phone number you want to call. In seconds, your phone will ring and connect you to the other party. This will work with any phone (cell phone, landline, magicjack, etc.). (no software downloads or headsets required)

Image
- Don't Dial. Just Click.
[[[Click for presentation]]]
dukaBAR is a handy toolbar/plug-in that automatically scans Web pages and converts all phone numbers into clickable links that initiate phone calls. Install dukaBAR today to begin calling with just one click. No more forgetting or misdialing phone numbers. dukaBAR provides automated one-click dialing from any Web page. ( headset not required)

PLEASE NOTE: dukaBAR is currently NOT compatible with the Firefox 3 browser. According to the website, they are diligently working to resolve this issue.

- DukaLINK - Don't Dial. Just Click.
[[[Click for presentation]]]
Connect to site visitors, email recipients or whoever you want with a simple HTML hyperlink that users click to automatically call you without revealing your real phone number. When users click your dukaLINK, they're prompted to submit their phone number to automatically initiate a free phone call to you. DukaLINK will call the number they provided and connect them with you, free of charge with regular telephones. Best of all, they never see your real number - dukaLINK forwards the call to the number you've set up in your profile. (no software downloads or headsets required)

Image
- Voice Comments.
[[[Click for presentation]]]
dukaBUZZ enables Web site visitors to leave "audio comments" or testimonials that can be heard by others through a nifty module that is placed on a blog or Web site and enables site visitors to leave audio messages and testimonials that can be shared with others... Instead of typing and posting written comments, site visitors record audio comments using the dukaBUZZ widget and their standard telephone. (no software downloads or headsets required).

It has one major flaw, it's based on Microsh*t ActiveX technology. What were they thinking?

Yeah the IE dialpad is lame.

But I can see this service as a nice integration with MJ to use http://labs.jaduka.com/dukaLink in auctions and web-pages to let people contact you with your MJ without incurring a long distance call for them and without revealing your phone number.

It's similar to Grand Central's Click2Call web button, but without the impossibly long Jurassic wait to get signed up for Grand Central. You don't get an incoming phone number though.

Yes, the fact that internet explorer is needed to work earthcaller is pretty lame. Also, the fact that Firefox is not supported for dukaBAR makes it pretty much useless for me. Another problem is the contact lists don't work for me, they wont scroll up and down to show me the rest of my contact list. However, I haven't tried that on IE as of yet to see if it works on there. And sometimes I get an error using dukadial, so I need to create another account... But after a while the other account will work again... I just don't want to wait for it to work again.

Those are the only flaws I have found. I have been using this technology for a few months now and only tried dukaDIAL and Earthcaller. It used to be that earthcaller was "www.earthcaller.com" and not associated with jaduka labs. It was CRAP then. Don't even get me started... But now it's 100% working and perfect call quality. Some people who don't have a magicjack, or don't want to take there magicjack with them can just take a headset. Most places have Internet Explorer. And you don't need to infect everyone's computer with the magicjack's software. Recently, I have found that my magicjack's phone will work with earthcaller. Of course, I have to end the magicjack process to get rid of the dial tone (which sometimes doesn't work, so I just pick up the phone and start dialing to get rid of it, and then end the process). Then I make the magicjack my main audio and microphone and it works fine, never had a problem. This could be a temporary fix for outgoing calls when the magicjack server is down, etc. Unfortunately, you don't get a phone number. Calls made from earthcaller come out of Texas (call yourself and check your caller id), and if you try to call the number back you get a busy signal.

Dukadial also presents many possibility's... Since you enter your number, and then the number you call. So as long as you are by a phone with a phone number , you can call anyone for free in north America. When I tell people about this over the phone, I can even let them test it out by hanging up and connecting them with a long distance number of their choice. Then they sign up, and get free long distance. Now they can call me for free on my magicjack. I even use dukaDIAL on weekdays during the day to call from my cell phone, when I'm at home. And since I have free INCOMING calls on my cell phone it doesn't use up my daytime minutes... :)

Now this is free calling to north america, so what countries are in north america..?
US and Canada... any more? If so, this might just work for international calls on your magicjack. I don't have anyone to call anywhere other then the US and CANADA so I can't really test it out.

Trouble with DukaDial??

Post by msiam »

I tried to set up a DukaDial for my sister in Law and couldnt get the confirmation email to confirm.. I have an account, and she is using it in the meantime, but was wondering if anyone else can still set one up. I go through the sign up process and I get the email to click on the Hyper to verify the email.. But, it goes to a blank page, I was thinking that it must be her ISP that was keeping me down, but the same thing happened at home on three different browsers, FF, IE, And Chrome.. I cant complete the verification... Anyone else have that problem?? Is there a fix that I'm not aware of??

:? :? :(

It should be mentioned that Jaduka limited their free calling to US numbers only starting a few months ago. Fortunately the calls still seem to be of unlimited length, unlike most other similar services. Also, Earthcaller was discontinued around the same time.

Dukadial can be used from anywhere in the world to make unlimited calls to US phone numbers by using it with a free Washington state DID phone number from IPKall.com (unfortunately, you need a computer's web browser to initiate the call, and no E911, of course).

Jaduka Labs, including Dukadial, is being shut down July 2:

I've come across other similar services, but with time limits, advertising, or other issues. Any recommendations for a good replacement (other than Google Voice, which is still unavailable to anyone who wasn't already on GC)?

I guess all things must come to an end.
As for google voice, I just got my invitation awhile ago.

So, I hope you signed up for an invite.
