Calls being forwarded are being dropped

Post by thelastbill »

Hello all!

I really appreciate this forum since I am not very tech savvy and you all seem to be able to help.

I ran a search and didnt get the answer I was looking for.

I have my MJ # being forwarded to my cell phone. I have tmobile. I never have any missed calls otherwise but recently when someone calls the MJ # and it is forwarded, there are clicking sounds and some static. Sometimes, right in the middle of a sentence, the call will just drop and have to redial.

Just to note, I just recently changed the MJ # to a far distant one fro where I am located so a family member could call without long distance.

Please help!

How do incoming calls work w/o forwarding since you've changed your number? Your problem could be MJ, it could be T-Mobile, or it could be an interaction between them. I forward my MJ number to my Verizon land-line number (I still don't trust MJ as my sole provider). Most of the time it works fine. But sometimes, the calls are noisy. Sometimes they don't come thru - the caller has to try several times. In my case I suspect its an MJ problem but I don't get enough incoming calls to care. In your case, there is a mobile provider involved and so who knows. But I would first try w/o the forward to see how incoming service works.
