G5 not taking GV account in the 'GoogleVoice-Expmtal' sction

I hope I can include all details and perhaps some1 can help me here which I will appreciate.

Got my invite to GV, set it up, then went to G5 to get my accnt, signed up, everything went just fine, but in the GV section which still shows experimental, tried to add my GV account but come back saying this: We couldn't identify your Google Voice number. Please check your username/password again.

Do I need to add credit? what am I missing?

I configured my ATA (PAP2 V2), registers just fine at G5, I get a dial tone and everything, I guess there no probs there, just trying to get GV on G5 is the problem now.

I included my entire gv email account in the username field.

GV have this issue when you register first time.
keep trying to call your G5 number its going to take sometime more then 50 try to make it work.


ones you get one phone register successfully then its only take one try to register second number.

I did use my whole GV [email protected].

I was able to register the G5 number within GV, dialed, entered the 2 digit verification, but still not able to add the GV account in G5, keeps saying:We couldn't identify your Google Voice number. Please check your username/password again.


I dont understand your suggestion, should I keep calling my G5 number from another phone, like cell phone? or my GV number?

I have mine setup with just the user name. I did not include @gmail.com. Works fine for me this way.

Same here just GV user name, no @gmail.com.
