Re-imaging Wyse V90 P/N: 902094-21

Post by mjuser001 »

Hi,

I finally got the Wyse V90 Part No: 902094-21. I wanted to do a fresh re-image of the client. Here is what I did:

1. I downloaded the Wyse USB Flash Disk Imager v1.41 from freewysemonkeys.com and ran the usb_format.exe to format a 1GB Flash Drive.

2. Downloaded the XPe SP2 image from here: http://www.wyse.com/serviceandsupport/s ... ows%20XPe) and downloaded XPE_WFR2_v5_01_B616.zip file.

3. Expanded the XPE_WFR2_v5_01_B616.zip file and found a i2d file.

4. Renamed the i2d file to 9V90.i2d and copied the file to the V90 sub folder under the Wyse_USB_Imager_Files folder. (as per the instructions)

At this point, I'm stuck. I don't know how to go the next step.

Do I need to connect the thin client to my laptop thru USB 2.0 and run the AUTOEXEC.BAT found under Wyse_USB_Imager_Files folder? Running this file, shows a menu of choices, one of which is V90.

I'm confused here and all I want is to re-image the thin client.

Please help.

Thanks.
