Softphone Window is Cropped and Unuseable

Post by Robyn »

Hi,
I've had MJ about 10 months now and been very pleased with it overall. However, the last couple of weeks I've had a problem that won't resolve itself. The softphone window on my computer is cropped by about a third on the right side and on the bottom. The regular phone functions just fine, but I have no access to my contact list, which I use all the time. This just happened all of a sudden one day, I made no changes or adjustments. Also, sometimes it comes back all by itself, but never for long. Can anyone offer a possible solution? This is kind of aggravating.

Thanks!

Dumb suggestion.......... Try clicking BIG if you are using the small version of the softphone and small if you are using the big version ( ugh). If that doesnt work I would look into updating your video drivers.

As a last resort you could always do a system restore to prior when this started to occur........As SOMETHING had to change it...

Thanks for the reply. :-) Unfortunately, the Big and Small buttons are in the area that is cropped and are inaccessible to me. I'll look into the driver situation, but I haven't changed anything in a long time, and every so often it comes back, usually on start-up, and then crops down again after a few minutes. Wouldn't a driver issue be more permanent? Restore won't be an option, either. This started weeks ago, I don't think I even have a restore point that far back, and I wouldn't want to make that dramatic a change.

I actually thought this was something from MJ, perhaps relating to the recent upgrade. I take it no one else has had a problem of this nature? Thanks again!

Right click on the icon in the taskbar (not the tray) and left click on minimize.

You can also try and ALT SPACE key combo on the active softphone screen and see if anything can be moved or resized via that way.
Also if you change the resolution of your screen it might kick start it.

Again just my 2 cents, not sure if any of it will work..
