Private Message Appears in "Outbox" but not in &qu

I am trying to send a private message to someone, and the message appears in my "outbox", but does not make it into my "sentbox". Can I assume this message has not been sent? It would appear so. I tried sending the message again, and now there are two messages in my "outbox". How can I get this message to be sent? Do I need to contact someone before the actual sending will be approved? I'm new to this forum, as you can see, so thanks for your patience and assistance.

Messages appear in your outbox until the recipient reads the message. Once they read the message, it will appear in your sent box.

So, in your case, the recipient simply has not read the message.
