t5710 XPe Factory Image

Post by dodgy »

I tried downloading any of the factory images (5.1.336 Rev. A, 5.1.323 A, 5.1.314 A) from the HP web site and with any of them I get the message "The contents of the file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again."

Does anyone have a link to any of these files that may not be corrupt?
Thanks!

Read the HP instructions for installation. I believe it's either an ISO or self extracting file.

It's self extracting. When I doubleclick, it starts and gives the intro and license popups. It goes through the extracting but when it verifies the package integrity, I get the message I posted.

Are you trying to extract it using the thin client? It won't work; there isn't even disk space. You need to do this on a PC with a USB thumb drive.

This is how I tried it. I tried it on two different PC's with the same effect.

STxFarmer:
Thanks for the links. I tried to extract the Flash version and got this:
! C:\Documents and Settings\Flash.rar: CRC failed in Flash\flash.img. The file is corrupt
! C:\Documents and Settings\Flash.rar: Unexpected end of archive
but the ISO extracted fine.
Thanks Again,
Don
