I've installed VMWare Server on my SUSE 11.1 system. VMWare works fine running XP as a guest system. The guest system does recognize the MJ dongle. On the device tree I can see the usb audio device, the flash drive, and the virtual cdrom. I can access the flash drive and read the files on it and the cd shows up in "my computer", though it is said to have no disk. However, mj doesn't run. I assume it is on the virtual cd which is seen as having no disk.
Is there any way to get the thing to work?
MJ doesn't start under VMWare Server 2

I have made some progress. It turns out that the vmx file must include the line usb.generic.skipsetconfig = "TRUE". This doesn't seem to be there by default. Once I added that, MJ is recognized as a Tigerjet internet phone device which it wasn't before. I still haven't gotten it to run, but I have some hope now.
Here's where I got the information. It is a good tutorial:

To get this to work for me I also had to transfer BOTH USB devices, the unknown magicjack one and the Tiger Jet Network USB.
After doing that, my VM didnt have the drivers to get the TigerJet to work, so I had to go to windowsupdate, it recognized the drvier for it, downloaded it & rebooted.
After reboot I needed to remove & then re-add both usb devices and it worked like a charm!!
BEfore I resolved this it was frustrating.... it had been only showing the headset mode (not telephone)
