Is it possible to update the Thin client OS to Linux
Hi Gurus,
I have been doing some research to update my wyse 9450 TC OS to Linux in order to use as PBX. Have you any of them tried to update the OS. If yes on any model, I would be curious to know that.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but 9540 cannot boot from USB
Thanks for the reply, but 9540 unable to boot from USB, I have been trying to do this, but I couldn't.
If I happened to do this, what is downside of convert OS to linux, can I able to bring it back to XPe later on using network boot.
In your view other use as an Asterisk server is there any other usage of having linux on the Thin Client.
Thanks for your time.

You need to change the boot order in BIOS. On the WINTERM splash screen at bootup press the "DEL" key to get into BIOS. Navigate to the boot order. Make first boot device "USB HDD", second boot device "USB CDROM" and third boot device HDD0. Save & exit. Now it should boot from your thumbdrive. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the reply. But I have been trying boot my TC using USB device, but I am unable to start with that. I have tried the way you mentioned as well.
Will the PXE start even if I change it to Linux, if I want to change the OS again to XPe.
Thanks
