Problem with outgoing going in an out, with a twist...

Post by felyza »

Other than being just a bit too quiet for most people, I'm usually heard well enough, without dropping mic input.

As of last week though, it seems if I call anyone on the Sprint network or anyone in the 727 area code from MJ its having issues with dropping voice out randomly. I'm told its not staticy at all, its like I'm just going in and out, like poor cell phone connections. I'm in the 813 area code (next to the 727 area code), and have no issues calling around the rest of the country or any other cellular network.

Its not happening any other time, just for anyone in the 727 area code, or anyone on that network (same effect if it's someone with that network IN that area code, problem doesn't compound).

First Run:

Second Run:

On the graph, I had 2 spikes of ~7ms, which weren't present in the first test.

As per computer/network/MJ setup, I'm on a high end gaming computer, I use process lasso, I have the 'update' codec installed that REALLY helped my sound quality (its in another thread here somewhere), I'm on a wireless N connection (can't get around it, upside is, computer is about 8 feet from the router, there's just a floor between them), wireless is fully tweaked for 'always on' status in hardware settings, MJ is set up to run without dongle as I use the computer headset.

I'm just at a loss for what to do, since its only affecting a very specific set of people... I don't want to screw up the quality to every other area code or cellular network.
