I'm sure there is a syscommand or some other way for me to do this simply and easily. We use proprietary software for our corporate database. Currently we use vonage (at great expense) but they have an easy to use click to call interface that I was able to modify and get working.
I'm NOT trying to reverse engineer the MJ software. I just need to find a simple way of pasting clipboard data into the box on the basic MJ screen. It seems to dial automatically so as long as I can paste it to the program in the right window, I should be fine.
Any ideas? Maybe even a vb script that changes program focus, pastes clipboard contents and reverts focus back to primary application?
I'd love to do with with a syscommand or other cmd style scripting. I know it can be done, I think it's just a matter of finding the right command or sets of commands. I've seen alot of requests for this type of functionality but no real breakthroughs and if there have been, they are keeping to themselves.
I tried MJ Web Support, but no luck, the elevated my request and forwarded it on to engineering (Corporate BS for "I have no idea what your talking about".)
Even if I can only figure out where and what I'm looking for, I think I cna figure it out, but thus far I'm stumped. I'm told this website is the best support available, which is kinda scarey (Corporations with such a lack of support that the community was forced to do it themselves) but very much welcome. Preemptive Thanks to each and every one of you!
I spoke with the Creator of MagicBeans yesterday and he mentioned using Resource Hacker or something similar to find what I need, but I'm unsure what exactly I'm looking for. I think I am staring at the solution but I just can't focus on it clearly.
How can I send clipboard contents (phone Number) to MJ?

Everyone has an "IF"
IF they use MagicJack wasn't the question. The question is quit clear, is it reasonable for a telephone company to not have a telephone support number.
Now (If) they use magic jack it might be prudent, sure, and IF Jesus was 14 feet tall he might not have been crucified. We can go all day on if this and if that and debate it into the ground. The question always remains. As a consumer I have a right to choose my preferred method of communication and preferred method of payment (cash, credit card, check, paypal). Any business that doesn't accept my preferred method of payment is simply losing money to their competition.
Any business that cannot take support call is leaving their customers to the whim of the next telephone service who thinks they can do better. It wouldn't take much to create VoIP phones like MagicJack and add telephone support, even if it cost extra, like $2 per month. At least we'd have the option.

A potential work-around, can you export the contact info to Outlook from your corporate database? There is a MJ add-on to Outlook that lets you dial from Outlook. Look on the MJ website for the add-in. Not the most elegant solution working with 2 databases, but an easy solution.kloring wrote:We use proprietary software for our corporate database.
