MJ Soft Phone

How do I prevent the MJ softphone from opening each time I pick up the handset? For now I just move it way off to the side out of the way, but there must be a better way. Also, how do I prevent a MJ desktop shortcut from being installed each time the computer is restarted? I wouldn't mind just a system tray icon only. I tried the t4 program but had no luck.

The best way really, especially if you are not using the soft-phone is to run your MJ as a service. There are threads in this forum that cover it so I am not going to repeat it.
