Does MJ work calling from Colombia to the USA?

Hi, newbie wth questions:

1) I just set up MJ here in USA. I am going to Colombia, South America and want to of course receive calls while in Colombia with MJ. So I give out my local MJ tel number, correct?

2) Next, to call USA from Colombia, I just use MJ from Colombian Internet connection, correct?

3) So, people buy MJ International minutes when calling from USA to call a Colombian non MJ landline phone, correct?

4) In my situation, Do I need to buy International minutes to call from Colombia using my connected MJ, but to a landline or cell phone in the USA? (non MJ users)

Your MJ must be connected to a working pc running XP or Vista with MJ software correctly installed AND, you must have a voip capable high-speed internet connection

You were doing so very well until you put your foot in your mouth..
Your MJ phone is based in US, you can call any US or Canadian phone number as if you were sitting at home in Podunk, Iowa. Why is this so hard to grasp??

OTOH, if you want to order pizza, using your MJ line, from a local Colombian Casa de Pizza, you will need to make an international call. Such calls may be made by prepaid international minutes from MJ or some other type of international phone card vehicle that may be substantially cheaper than MJ int'l rates.

Since your number is located in the US then all calls to and from your number are free to and from destinations in the US so you do not need any international minutes for calls to and from the US.

Now if your in Columbia and want to call a local number there in Columbia then that would be an international call for you since your MJ thinks it is located in the US even though it is not. That is what Crackerjack meant about the pizza call needing international minutes.

So if you only use the MJ for calls to and from US/Canada then you don't need any international minutes at all it is free.

Make your local calls in Columbia using something other than MJ.
