Wyse winterm model 9450SE

I have 9450SE with the Wyse sytem info:
Cpu Speed: 549 MHZ.
Memory : 515568 KB.
Flash : 183.
System Partion: 181 MB
OS : Window XPe ver 5.01

When I plug my MJ , the screen tell me that found a new device,
then popup FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD, I press NEXT---Cannot Install this Hardware
The screen has : Internet Explore, Program Neigborhood and Remote Desktop.
(When I clike Start --- About, Internet Explore, Program Neigborhood,Program, Setting, Shut Down. I don't see harddrive:C where is the driver??)

autorun don't use this drive
then change to magic jack pop up with:

Download in progress please do not unplug

then the magic jack pup up, .... lucky you upgrading now ......Error Broken Storage
Then nothing happen.
So I turn Off the 9450SE and unplug the MJ.
I put back my MJ on my desktop and The MJ still 100% wook ( I can make a call )

My friend has a flash drive and I install and the the spec is
CPU Speed : 549 MHz.
Memory :503
Flash :256
OS : Window XP Pro service pack2.
When I plug my MJ nothing happen ion the screen , just

Connect to Server

Administrative Tools

Shut Down.

Can someone help me.

It looks like you only have a 192MB DOM. This could be a problem. WYSE does not load many of the drivers required for magicJack and there is not enough room on the DOM for you to manually add them either. This is why your MJ installation and upgrade fails on this machine and you get the broken storage message.

What OS is the machine that is currently working running, Vista or XP? If XP then I don't think you have anything to worry about as far as the MJ is concerned and should be fully functional on the WYSE after a couple of upgrades.

Your friends machine, what brand and model and have you tried another working MJ in it? He may be in the same boat. The smaller XPe images have to reduce disk space in order for it to fit, and alot of drivers get axed.

In short, you need to upgrade the DOM to at least 256, but you still will have to add the drivers manually to the image, or preferrably 512 because the 512 WYSE image will have all the drivers pre-loaded.

Then there is the issue of getting the new image onto the DOM. WYSE is not as user friendly as HP. They do not support USB flashing officially, although there are unofficial USB flashing methods but they do not directly support the 9450 either. It will have to be flashed via a second computer running there software on your local network using PXE to boot the TC. You'll have to do quite a bit of homework, far too much information to elaborate on here.

The other option is that I could offer you a 4GB direct drop in replacement solution with my custom MJ optimized XPe Build image pre-loaded and ready to go that will work wonderfully in your 9450. It would include a 4GB MicroDrive, a CF to IDE adapter and an IDE cable for less than you could get either DOM and no headaches with having to load the image. PM me if you are interested in pricing.

Anyway, whatever route you decide, once the DOM is replaced and the all the drivers are there I think MJ will run just fine on your machine...hope this helps!!

1. My desktop has Win XP home.
2. My friend used to have 9455 and he has spare DOM that he give to me.
He doesn't have MJ.
3. You are right my DOM is only 192 and his is 256.( I look at the back of the DOM)
4. I am in a bad situation now, so first I want to try ( with you help please) to work on mine( the 256). but how much is your 4GB, so I can start saving.
5.How do I make my 256 which is Win XP pro?

So the 256 wasn't a machine, just a DOM your friend gave you. The 256 is not XP Pro, there's no way Pro could possibly fit on a 256 DOM. I'm sure it's XPe, which is based on Pro. It's just reporting as XP Pro. The 9450 and the 9455 are exaclty the same motherboard, even though they look entirely different outside. The DOM he gave you should work just fine. ust folloe the proceedure below

You'll need to log in to window as administrator first off. If you have an XP Pro install disc you could copy the entire I386 folder to a USB flash drive. Then try to install MJ again. When it complains about the driver, point it to the I386 folder on the USB flash. It will load the necissary drivers from that folder. MagicJack should continue to install correctly from that point. Make sure you commit the changes or you'll have to do it all over again after your next reboot. If all went well you should be making calls.

So, if all this is too much for you to deal with, then we need to talk about the 4GB kit. I figure $50 shipped should cover it including imaging the drive. Then you won't have to deal with any of the driver issues. My image is not a stock image. It has been specifically configured for MJ on low memory (128 - 256) systems. EWF and RAMDISK are removed and the PageFile has been enabled. This maximizes MJ performance on low memory systems. Plus you never have to worry about EWF commits again. MJ will update automatically with no user input to save changes. PM me your email so I can send you a PayPal bill.

1. Yes the 256 when I chick ABOUT it says that the OS is Window XP Professional seria l2.
2. I have done :
during bootup . I press the shift and then when I enter user name Administrator and User: same. It doesn't go to write on /write off just same like when I don't hold the SHIFT key.
Any clue.
