Does anyone hear ringing after they answer the phone?

Post by mav1989 »

Sometimes when I answer the phone I hear ringing in the speaker for like 5 seconds, then it connects. It works fine after that, it's just annoying.
I am using a cordless At&t phone.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Very common issue,MJ central should add a mute feature on the softpad to kill that wave file.

Maybe some super hacker has found a way to replace that sound file with another that is muted/softer.

Yes, it happens with us. Sometimes experience a 2 sec delay B/4 conversation. Otherwise, no drops, skips, or cut-outs. Here is the odd part, only happens on the wired phones; does not happen on the cordless.

It does happen with cordless phones too, but not too often.

I notice it if I disable the voicemail and pick up right at the time it forwards back again. I don't notice that problem other than that.

Ringing.

No, when I hear that lengthy ring you're talking about, it works out to be a disconnected call and that is for no reason I can think of. I do get echoing and garbled speech as well as beeping. No voicemail, either.
