I have
an ATA with MJMD5 running fine on the router
my brother ended up coming down for thanks giving with his ATA and MJ.
i hooked him up with FPL and had no problem getting the pass for MJ. (passwordfinder 2.2) when the ATA tryed to register with MJ, 1st time, it would say Unauthorized, other times it wouldn't even try, as if i got banned till i changed the proxy server or different IP.
TRYED
-using his sip info with my setup = nogo
-used passwordfinder to find my MJ password, which hasn't changed so i know his password is good
-another internet connection = nogo
-diffrent many MJ proxy server
-plugging in his MJ to see if it works.. (yes it does)
-tryed x-lite with/without MJMD5 (mine works, his doesn't)
-different ports 5060, 5061, default 5070
is MagicJack doing something for new comers?
solved - NEW MJ + MJMD5 = nogo

i already have this setup and working on my account but when i ported my brothers sip info into the ATA + changed the password in the router = nogoCablespider wrote:Make sure the ATA proxy is pointing to the router and not to MJ. If your router IP is 192.168.1.1, then Proxy = 192.168.1.1:5070 on the ATA.
In this set up, The ATA is now using the router as the proxy internally. The router itself is already set up to deal with the MJ proxy.
tryed killall mjmd5 on the router
restarted the service with the new password..
reverted back to mine (works fine) but when i do his again it doesn't..
also tryed windows MJMD5 and x-lite with mine... works fine.
tryed my brothers account info out on win MJMD5 + x-lite = nogo
also tryed different internet connections

remember you are starting mjproxy with your user id and password on the command line, not your brothers.....
have to change both, that is why yours works and his does not. when using his, mj is getting confused with his data being passed from the ata, and your data being used in the mjproxy program.
if you want to run both at the same time, you need to start a second mjproxy program on a different port and point your brothers ata at that port.
