Using Magic Jack for Sending Fax!!

Post by magicjack777 »

Hello, I am wanting to know how I could be able to use my fax machine with a magic jack. I have used magic jack before and have sent faxes from my Epson workforce 600 but recently it seems like I cant even send one. Is there a way to be able to make my fax be able to send my faxes succesfully without an error?
..I have turned off the ECM but I cant seem to know how to lower the speed like I have heard is what you do to make fax sendings succesfull.

If anyone knows how to work this(magic jack and this type of machine of epson) succesfully in receiving and sending out faxes I would appreciate the help as this has been very annoying.

Thank you!

Are you using your MJ dongle on your computer? If not, odds are that the most recent MJ update hosed your setup.

I have noticed in the last 3 weeks I have had a 100% success rate in faxing out documents. I am using a Brother 575 fax and have my settings for:

Overseas mode=yes
Resolution=photo

I believe that magic jack has made some improvements in this area!!!

I had no problem using mj to send faxes.I use Mightyfax. Be sure Fax Error Control is shut off and I have my transfer rate set to 2400 bps and it works fine.

Wow I almost forgot about this when canceling my phone service. How would I use MJ to send faxes? The problem is, I have a wireless printer. It doesn't sit in the same room that my MJ does.

I realize if I had the MJ and the AIO Brother fax machine, and my telephone all in the same room with each other, I could just use a splitter out of the MJ.

Any help?
