I have an early version Magic Jack (about two years old) and purchased a new one to get the latest hardware. I was having issues with the old MJ connecting to whole house phone wiring using a thin client. I tested the system with a borrowed newer MJ to verify the new hardware worked OK with the TC.
I want to know if I can register the new MJ and port over the existing old MJ phone number to the new MJ. Also I just purchased another year of service for the old MJ before I decided to get the new MJ. Can I transfer the year of service to the new MJ?
Anyone have answers to these questions?

-contact the chat help BEFORE you plug in the new MJ
-Tell them the old one does NOT work. They may think you're up to something sneaky, otherwise.
Got my number switched to new MJ
Thanks for the replies. I talked to MJ expert, Alpman, and he clued me in to chat with MJ support before registering the new MJ. Process was easy - the MJ support folks were very helpful. I bought a thin client from Alpman and he is an incredible resource for MJ stuff - great guy! Find him on this forum under MJ related items for sale.
