What Are The Benifets of HD based setup vs Flash Rom

I just purchased a TC from Alpman on Ebay, Thanks Alpman,

My Questions is what are the benifets of having the 6gb mini hd instead of the flashrom.

I do have another TC Neoware E90 with 1mb/512 setup.

Does the HD based system work like the Flash based system.
Is it XP or XPe
Will the os get currupt and boged down like a normal PC. (viruses etc)

THe main benifet of the flash base system for me is that it reloads a fresh setup each time it reboots. IS this still the case with the HD setup ?

Sorry I couldn't answer your emails sooner, I've been out of town on business.

The OS is XPE, but with EWF disabled and Pagefile enabled (explained below).

The image on the TC you purchased does have an AntiVirus program installed, but if you are strictly using the TC for mJ there is little to worry about viruses anyway. It also has Windows Firewall and Windows Update enabled.

You shouldn't have any issues with the system getting bogged down. If for some reason the system were to ever get corrupt I can provide a copy of the image for you on disc or you can send me just the MicroDrive and I will reimage it for you at no charge.

The main advantages of using the MicroDrive are increased storage/program space and the fact that EWF is disabled so you do not have to save changes to disk. So when mJ takes an update, there is no user interaction to save the update. It is done automatically. You should also never see any "out of memory" errors when taking mJ updates or installing other programs as with many Flash based TC's because Pagefile is enabled.

The system will reboot itself once a week and will automatically restart upon a power failure.
