echo - stutter

I am new to MJ.. just scratching the surface and trying to digest the forum here.
I am getting lots of stuttering on answer and low volume echo's.
I am thinking I should dedicate a PC for Just the MJ..
Any pointers ??

I too am new to MJ and had the echo stutter problem. I found something not usually mentioned, I am using a d-link router (model escapes me, but it is an N router). running the free speed tests from DSLreports.com I found my uplink speed was 40k. MJ requires a minimum 128k upload speed. My router has a setting to automatically determine the best upload speed and somehow it got set to 40k. I manually set it to 384k, now my MJ is crystal clear. My real upload speed should be 512k, but I am leaving it for the moment. I am using the MJ on a Asus EeePC 900a netbook, so a dedicated PC should not be necessary.
