Wifi disconnect from laptop after using MJ

Post by conniemadagain »

I read (here somewhere) that there was terrible interference with WiFi that your laptop would disconnect from the internet after a call ...

Well, my laptop started to just that ... I had to reboot the router to get the connection back ...

So, I found my two bell south gaming internet connecters ... the kind you plug into the wall and use your electrical wiring for a "wired" connection ...

So I plug one into the wall at the router and again one by the laptop and I turn off wireless ... laptop connects via the "wired" connection and so far so good ...

Now I am no longer wireless and the disconnects have stopped (so far) ...

hope this helps ...

Try changing the router's default chanel. If it has a selection for Auto, it will choose the clearest channel itself. No guarantees, but worth a try...

I usually have the best results using channel 11 at least as far as minimizing interference from 2.4GHz phones.
