ac-211-sr

Post by magicrocket »

Ok, I can't seem to get it to work. I've looked for some detailed directions but I can't seem to find any for this particular device.

I have my ac-211 unlocked, I have my SIP information but I can't seem to put the information in the right places to get my ATA to register on the magicjack network.

Login Information
ProxyUserName = EXXXXXXXXXX01
ProxyUserPassword = XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

UDP Ports
SIPUDPDefaultPort = 0
SIPUDPPortRangeStart = 65535
SIPUDPPortRangeEnd = 49152

Other SIP Data
SIPCallerID = EXXXXXXXXXX01
UserDomain = talk4free.com
ProxyName = proxy1.columbus.talk4free.com
ProxyIP = 66.104.96.198
User-Agent = MagicJack/1.80.466c (SJ Labs)

what information goes where?

Here are my current settings:

Any help would be appreciated[/img]

I only see two things that you should change. Other folks might see something I have missed.

1. At the top, under the Primary server IP address, set its hailing port to 5070.

2. Down at the bottom, set up your STUN client. For the STUN server address, I recommend 69.0.208.27 (stun.ekiga.net), and for the STUN server port, 3478.

There may be settings on other pages of your SR device manager, but I recommend trying it out with these changes. Don't forget to unplug your MJ from your PC before energizing your SR ATA.

That worked, thanks! And what's the odds of magicjack catching me using an ATA and turning off my service?

Take your time to read through the various discussions, starting in this category. There is quite a bit of advice, but the biggest is to never plug in the MJ while the ATA is running.

The screen shots really help. Just what I was looking for. But I am still unable to get my AC-211N-SR to work. I think I still am struggling with the basics. My configuration is I have aa DSL modem set up in bridge mode. A wireless router connects to the PPoE & has my ISP username & password to log in to the ISP. I am not sure where to put the gizmo in this chain. Also not sure about Autoconfig and other WAN & LAN Settings. Sorry for all the basic questions.

I assume that your modem, router and PC are in the chain so far, and all of it works fine..The Way SunRocket had it set up was to come out of the modem LAN to the WAN of the gizmo out of LAN of Gizmo to internet of the router, if it all is set up in that chain, it should be fine, sometimes you can just come out of one of the spare ports of the router into the Wan of the gizmo and not worry about the Gizmos LAN, you should have success with that. Let us know how that turns out, As mberlant says, "never plug in the MJ while the ATA is running." Have fun and Im sure glad you have found the correct Thread :D

In re reading your post, I have a suspicion that your ISPs credentials are not in your modem, they are in your PC and you have to log in each time that you want to get on the internet, if this is the case, you will have to contact your ISP and tell them that you want to move those credentials to your DSL Modem so as the MODEM is always connected to the internet.tell them that you want the wireless Router always available. If your ready lite or voip lite is not on, I am thinking this could remedy your problem, It did in two cases I am aware of..

I believe my ISP credentials (PPP?) are in my Router. I do not need to log in everytime. Ready light is on, but phone line light is not on, and I don't have any dial tone.

Your original screenshot was the most useful, as mentioned before the port field should be "5070".

Your config looks more like something that works on a pap2. Don't use the ":5070" appended to your proxy address. Use 5070 in the port field and it should work. Don't forget on an ac-211 you must do a full reset after changing sip creds.

Try using "stratus.com" in the domain field, although I don't think it matters.

So for the Sunrocket AC211, there is no spot to put in the User Agent:

I was able to get my AC-211N-SR working, and it seemed to do just fine plugging into my router. I can't remember what made the difference, other than perhaps just powering down the ATA and trying it again after checking all the fields to ensure I had entered the info correctly.

I also had a SPA-2102 from another old SR account. I am currently using that ATA, as it seems to give more configuration options and better call quality.

Thanks for the help.

I HAD it working

Post by smaye »

The key word is 'HAD'.

About a year or so ago I got my AC211SR converted and working for my MJ service. I decided not to use MJ at all until they had number porting. Still not happening.

Now I have gotten over keeping my local number so I can start using MJ again. My MJ device works fine on my Win7 PC, but would prefer to use my AC211SR Gizmo. I plugged it in hoping it would work like it did before but, NO Cigar.

I tried to log in to the AC211SR, but now my Authenticate password is not working.

Can someone please give me some pointers?
