TracFone cannot call MJ

I have received calls on MJ from friends cell phones and from land lines, so I know the MJ is working, but I cannot call my MJ number from my TracFone and I cannot call my MJ number using an AT&T Calling card. The response is always: The number you are calling is not in service; please check the number and dail again.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

You must contact the affected carriers. It is a deficiency in their database where they do not recognize MJ/YMAX exvhanges that have just come online. Time will ultimately resolve it but if you tweak them it will get fixed quicker.
Call should be directed ti each carrier's tech support and tell them there is a new exchange they do not yet recognize. They'll know what to do.

Addressing this issue to MJ/YMAX is totally futile.

Thanks CrackerJack, you reinforced what I suspected; unfortunately dealing with Tracfone is worse than dealing with MJ support

CrackerJack. If I understand your question Tracfone uses AT&T or Verizon as their carrier. I also have a problem with an AT&T calling card not recognizing the MJ assigned number. I located someplace here in this forum a number one can call from AT&T and it will repeat back the number you are calling from. I did that and the MJ number was successfully repeated back. I don't know where to start at this moment.

My MJ exchange is 585 which is the Rochester, NY area, but when I selected that exchange while configuring MJ, the MJ website made me select a Batavia, NY exchange area; after doing so I was assigned my present number which uses the 585 exchange.

May be that makes sense to someone, but it doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps, that is the reason for this mess.

I have a tracfone and have no problem calling my magic jack number.

I am now happy to report that my MagicJack is now receiving calls. The process corrected itself about two weeks after purchasing the MJ device. Having decided to follow the posts of others, I decided to just give some time for my new number to finish populating itself across the network.

So far, I am very happy with the way MJ works.
