Very Frustrating.

The following is a cut and paste of a conversation I had with mj techs earlier this evening. When I finally got through to them that I needed to input a new email address and a new password. And "Harold" finally absorbed what I needed, I now get a message at the dial pad that reads: " Please connect to the internet and double click here." I am connected to the internet - I wouldn't be typing this - right?? OK, so I double click and it asks me for my email and password, I input them, it says my email or password is incorrect.....not...... I know my ports/drives are working since I get the same response from using my other computer. How do I get a Live voice? I've had this disservice for two years, and every time I want to use it, I have problems and have to talk to India or Pakistan or somewhere.... since I truly believe they don't understand my requests. Guidance please!

The service in my opinion is essentially useless. Sometimes I wonder if there is a real person on the other end or a bot typing in pre-canned support responses.

This is all you get. There is absolutely no other way other than this forum to get support. In fact, the people you chat with are not MJ employees and today I discovered can't even reproduce a problem since they don't have MJ's.

What do you expect for $19 a year. Stop complaining and be thankful for the service or just get rid of it. I'm tired of you Magicjack complainers whom refuse to use your brain a little to solve simple problems. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who love the service. Try reinstalling it before calling to ask for help. Simple solution!

My .02, I've found this forum to be invaluable to me since I bought my MJ three months ago. There hasn't been a problem (and there haven't been many) that I couldn't find an answer to here. Trust the folks here. You'll get much more for your $19/year.

I would agree, if you're looking for in depth tech support. But I've had occasion to chat with tech support twice. Once was to change a number and, quite frankly, I don't remember what the other issue was. Must not have been very important.

However, when I changed my number, the person who helped me made was knowledgeable, answered all my questions and made for an effortless transaction. I had a new number, literally, within minutes while calls to the old number were forwarded to the new one for a month.

A long time ago I began to live by the rule: If you don't want to be disappointed, lower your expectations.

OT: Dude, I knew he was piping sunshine up my skirt when he said we needed more offshore drilling and nuclear power plants, . He knows, you know and I know, there is no way those of his ilk are going to allow this to happen. Even if he pretended to support the idea, which George Soros would never allow to happen, it would be tied up in the courts for eons. Nuclear power? Bwahahahahahahhaaa!! When pigs fly!!

Instead of moving to the middle ( a la Clinton) he is acting like we JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. Like a parent scolding his child by saying let me explain it to you again (without saying because you are to stupid to understand).

"Gots" to love them progressives. THEY know what's best for us, remember prohibition?? Yeah that worked out well. They never see the unintended consequences. Electric "green" cars?? Where the heck do they think the electricity comes from?? The power fariy?? COAL ( in most cases anyway)

Yes it is part of his next stimulus plan.. After he bankrupts the country it will be the only way to make telephone calls.
