Question about outgoing toll numbers

Post by starrouter »

:) Hello everyone. It just occurred to me that once when my son was about 13 years old, after seeing some of those 1-900 phone sex advertisements that used to come on TV late at night, he called several of those numbers and I got a big phone bill one month because of it. I got my phone bill straightened out, and he and I had a little chat about it. Afterward, he never did that again. But, it just made me think - what happens if someone tried placing a call like that over a magic jack ? Hopefully such calls can't go through but it would be nice to know for sure that those kinds of calls can't be go through.

Not to worry, as far as I know, 900 numbers will not go through...
I would worry more about x-rated sites since your PC needs to be on to use your MJ :) So hide your credit card :)

Thanks Joe, that's good advice. Having been on dial up for so long, there's a whole lot of new things to consider.
