SSD for TC

Are there larger SSDs that will fit in the TC? I have a 10gb mechanical drive now because the 1 gig SSD was not large enough to run XP full up.

But I am having trouble that I think may be the HD. I cannot run two programs simultaneously without crashing the computer within 15 to 20 minutes. I have 4 programs (magicjack, delorme atlasGPS, windows media manager, and an OBDII monitor) that I want to run all at the same time but NO TWO of them can coexist without crashing the TC yet all of them will run for hours...if they are all alone.

I have been told that a mechanical HD in a TC can cause that problem so would like to replace it with a 5 or 10 gig SSD.

Any other solutions???

Unfortunately im not sure about your problem, but I am interested by your post.

Are you running a TC wirelessly in your car on a inverter or something?

Not certain about regular HD in TC. The power requirements may be taxing the TC. I run microdrives in a couple of my T5710 and have been since 2008 without problems.

Do you have a pagefile implemented?

Yes, I am running a T5710 wirelessly in the car. Works fine I am using an IBM laptop drive 2.25" and am running the T5710 directly off the 12V buss of the car, no inverter, no inline power supply. The antenna for the WiFi is a high power unit that transmits .5 watts and is capable of seamlessly stepping from one source to the next as I drive down the street.
