AFAIK it is possible though I haven't tried personally. If you're able to lower the rate at which it connects that would probably help. Also some people have had good success with using a DSL filter but plugging it in backwards (even if you don't have DSL).
Morpheus: What is "coming soon"? How do you define "coming soon"?
I use it successfully with DishTV but I only have a simple splitter between MJ and the phone and the DishTV module. If both are connected, the phone reception and transmission is so poor as to be unuseable. If I disconnect the DishTV line, the phone works fine. The DishTV always reads 'connected', with or without the phone.
I'm considering 2 possible solutions: an A/B phone line switch (a pain in the but to be sure) and a DSL filter. I just found this Unofficial MJ Forum and posted the issue. As I've been reading, someone said using a DSL filter IN REVERSE would do it. Not sure how that is accomplished.
FYI - Well, as I suspected, the DSL filter did NOT solve the problem. I hooked the filter all possible ways to all 3 units (MJ, phone, DishTV box) and none solved the phone problem when both the phone and DTV box are connected to a single MJ.
Now I'm thinking about a second MJ.
Still considering a phone line switch, hopefully one that is passive.

Don't you get annoying messages in your inbox daily from them? I have had it disconnected for up to 6+ months before and it seemed to work fine, but I don't want it to be cut off unexpectedly for the phone line being disconnected.
The phone line is used by your receiver to call home and tell them what pay per view stuff you have watched so that they can send you a bill. However you don't need a phone line to watch PPV. You can either call them to authorize a PPV (costs more $$) or do it on line via your on line account. Lots of folks don't have phone lines connected since they like me have dropped their land line service if favor of cell service only.

I have never seen any type of a message in my inbox related to not having a phone line hooked up. I have also never ordered a pay per view movie by and means. Actually cheaper to rent a movie for a buck a day at McDonalds...
