Phone for talking and PC for ringing

Subject pretty much says it all:

Is there a way to add the USB phone to the list under "Headset" setting?

Right mouse click on the magicJack icon and make sure the top menu item reads "Switch To Telephone".

When calls arrive the ringing will come out of your computer speakers. When you answer you will be able to talk via the phone you have connected to your magicJack USB dongle as normal. The magicJack dialer automatically toggles from headset mode to telephone mode when you go offhook on the phone.

Well, you get what I mean, but I'd prefer not to have to toggle this every time I get a call. Is there a permanent fix (hack) for this?

Maybe I should have read more closely. I'll let you know....

I just double checked and mine automatically toggles back and forth when I go offhook and onhook on my phone as previously described.

Your other option is to try Magicfeatures that has a talking caller id (name and number) feature available for incoming calls.

Yeah it works so long as I fire up the TigerJet SDK demo and reverse the polarity of the TIP/Ring.
