Contact List Downgrade

I downloaded the magicJack downgrade to store my contact list back in my computer but I haven't used it yet. What are the chances that I will lose my contact list (presently stored at magicJack's server) when I apply this downgrade fix?

So far everyone, including myself, has gotten back their list after running this. NOTHING is 100% but the odds are in your favor...BUT THEN this is MJ we are talking about

They need to put out a new Firmware without a doubt.

Did you empty your call log?? That seems to work as well. NOT your contacts, delete the calls you made or received. I would do that and it that doesnt work run the downgrade again afterwards. This is the link I used which worked for me.

Lost the ability to fax with the January upgrade. The downgrade in the above post fixed this issue.

I did the downgrade and all my contacts disappeared. It makes sense since now the program is looking for my contact list within my computer instead of the magicJack server.

However, I installed the mJ in another computer. It accessed the server and there was my contact list!

Thats a bad sign.. It tells me they think all the problems with the Jan update are gone and those who did the downgrade ( including myself) will be pushed the "lucky You" update very soon.

After losing contact list again I manually redid my contact list and lost that also....Bummer!

i had done the downgrade and it worked perfectly fine at faxing but it just automatically updated and now it doesn't work. does anyone have the downgrade saved and can email it to me at [email protected] please. i tried the link and it seems to be dead. thanks need this really bad.

Its near the end of the post as you are correct MJ removed the link from their servers.. So I u/l the file to someone here and they made it avail to all. There are 2 links provided. HOWEVER if MJ thinks they have fixed the problem they will push through a new "lucky you" update. So far that has not happened to me, but one never knows when it will.
