No Magicjack.exe file in mjusbsp directory

Post by Bonnie_Raitt »

I only have a Windows 7 PC with no access to a working XP magicjack PC. When I plug in MJ, I get the "Please connect MJ" message. I want to try the "No Splashscreen" instructions but I don't have a magicjack.exe in my mjusbsp directory.

I downloaded the latest "upgrade.exe" from mj.com but it doesn't load all the necessary files. Does anyone know where I could find a copy of a "working MJ directory on the internet?

Thanks

Hey...

Well, listen, I run MJ on win 7 to, and when I plug it in all I get is 2 different drives that appear. And within them I had to fiddle around to get one drive to show all its files, but regardless I cant even Find mjusbsp directory anywhere.

SO.... my point is, I went and took it over to a computer with windows xp running on it, and pretty much, "well, the exact" same shit. Its not your version of windows. I too would love to know how ppl are find magicjack.exe.

As well, the mjusbsp directory.

Well, my reply again, was pretty much to let ya know its not windows. I just wish maybe someone could put up the latest magicJack.exe file for download and then just move our login shit into the same dir. THAT would help bigtime.

The folder you seek is not in the MJ drives but in WinXP it is at "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\mjusbsp". Do some research.

First you may have to open up hidden files to see mjusbsp "start /control panel/folder options / click view tab @ top / click show hidden files / apply / ok" then go to:
WinXP @ "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\mjusbsp"
