problem after automatic update
Had excellent service for about 9 months. This week the MJ did one of it's automatic updates, and now I'm having problems. Specifically, when I first call out after a computer boot up, one can hear the person on the other side, but the voice is just an unintelligible buzz.
If I make a call to the MJ from my cell phone, the MJ will recover, and I'll have perfect use until the next reboot of the machine.
Anyone else having similar problems?

Check out this topic and run the downgrade I provided.

Thank you, but....
Thank you, but I'm a bit skeptical. My MJ is not exhibiting any of the symptoms - empty caller lists, etc. - that your fix was intended for.
Or am I missing something here?
The MJ site has fixes for three different problems including disappearing caller lists, but warns against using the fixes, if it's not one of the mentioned problems.
Yours sincerely.

I can understand you being hesitant. When MJ themselves had this as a link ( just the other day in fact), MANY ran it and it corrected all kinds of problems induced via the early Jan update. All I can say is IF you try it and it doesnt work you can always just run their update to bring you back to where you are now, no?
Of course it is entirely up to you if it is worth the risk..

The downgrade works great for fixing the problems the January update caused. The only downside is that every time I turn off my MJ it asks me for my for my email and password when I restart it. On a positive note the xlite plugin continues to work even if my MJ doesn't register. This won't affect my incoming calls being they all come through this now just the outgoing until I realize it.
