Outbound Caller ID Problem

Post by kingsclear »

My outbound CID only shows my number and not my name. Is there a way without spoofing to have it show my name?

Does anyone know if the outbound Caller ID has been updated to include your name?

i would like my name to show up in my outbound caller ID, along with my phone number.

people don't recognize my magic jack phone number, so sometimes they don't answer. so it would be great if my name also was displayed.

thanks!

You could always legally change your name to your MJ # and then your problem is solved..
Sorry I couldn't resist.

I'm running MJ on an Linksys ATA. I have my name entered under the "Display Name:" and if I call a T-Mobile@home number, my name or whatever I have entered, is displayed on the recipient callerid! I don't think it works for PSTN lines. It might work for other VOIP providers, including other MJ users (haven't test this as of yet).
