Magicjack updates using the MagicSilence plugin

I'm using the MagicSilence plugin and am very happy with it. I recently changed my MJ number and was unable to place or receive calls for a little while. Finally a reboot of the computer got it all going again. Anyway, while it wasn't working, I did some searching and saw where the updates from magic jack fixes some strange problems sometimes. I downloaded the 'upgrade.exe" from Magic Jack but didn't install it because I wanted to ask if the upgrades will do anything unwanted since I'm using the MagicSilence and because I just needed to reboot the PC. Are the magic jack upgrades compatible with the magicsilence plugin or should you not do any MJ updates unless it's broken ?

I would not recommend using any magicJack dialer "fix" update unless you are having a specific problem as outlined at the magicJack website. In any case, MagicJack will force "Lucky You" upgrades on you automatically when they feel you need one and those are pretty much completely outside your control.

In any case, the only thing I do suggest you do is make sure you have the latest release of Magicsilence from http://tools.pcphonesoft.com . You can also right mouse click on the Magicsilence icon and select "Updates" from the menu. It will let you if you have the latest release.
