If you are having troubles with cutting out!!!!

After a year of fighting "cutting out" I finaly found the cure....or maybe my wife did. She cussed me every time it cut out and swore that it was my fault that we no longer had a usable phone. So finally under the barrage of anger from her I consented to reconnect to Ma Bell...through a $23 add on to the Cable internet connection.

Before doing that I asked the cable company out to check my lines. They did and said all was good, so it must be MagicJack causing the problem.

Today they came to install the new cable phone and after it was done the guy came in to my wife and asked if we were having trouble with the internet connection. She said no, but the MJ doesnt work very well. He responded, "Now it will." The splitter to the computer line had gone bad and dropped the signal to 20% of normal. The first guy hadn't checked the signal after the splitter. My wife asked, are you sure that would have fixed the MJ. He responded, "I would bet my life on it."

So I now have a $23 a month expense I didn't need because the first cable man was incompetent. But I don't have the courage to suggest that we drop the cable phone now. She is still pissed. And besides, now she can get on the conference calls from the Texas Federation of Republican Women which she couldn't join from the MagicJack. I guess a 54 year marriage is worth $23 a month...????
