I am using MJ with a dd-wrt router and ATA. It's annoying that MJ voicemail picks up. I rather that my answering machine pick up so it blinks and I know there is a message.
TIA

Try entering your MJ number under VOICE Tab >>>>User 1>>>>Cfwd No Ans Dest: YOUR 10-digit MJ number. This will let your phone ring indefinitely (more than 8 rings?)!!yazyazoo wrote:I am using MJ with a dd-wrt router and ATA. It's annoying that MJ voicemail picks up. Try your username instead of the MJ number:roc1479 wrote:I have this set but my phones answering machine doesn't pick up. Any other things to try?
EXXXXXXXXXX01.
Also, make sure your "Cfwd No Ans Serv" is set to yes. Apart from that, I have no clue...maybe try another answering machine to see if the issue is machine specific!
It is either a faulty answering machine or you may need to change your settings on your pap2 to match mine on this post here: http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/rtp3 ... t8785.html
Good Luck.

You need to set the ring count at your answer machine to 4 so that it picks up before MJ. There is nothing you need to do on ata box, but if you do not want false voice message waiting prompt on your phone when there is actually no message on your answer machine you need to make sure at
User 1 or 2 TAB, Supplementary Service Settings section set Message Waiting: NO. Hope this works for you.
