Warning on Int'l call that I've got 4:00 minutes

Post by VicAtMJ »

I'm brand new to MJ (1 week!) and have setup $40.00 worth of international calls. In attempting to call Barbados (011+<Barbadian number>) I get a warning that I've got 4:00 minutes. As it happens, I got no-answer and MJ disconnected but I'm puzzled. Does the warning mean that I'll be disconnected/interrupted after 4:00mins? Four minutes of what? It would seem a bit draconian to limit my call, given the amount of credit in my account.

I'd be grateful if someone would explain what the warning really means.

Since when do you use 011 for Barbados? If you use MJ you have to dial exactly like you would from a U.S. or Canadian location. :o

You're quite correct. I've reread the FAQ which clearly states that
Calls to Canada & Caribbean:

Dial 1 + the area code + local number
.
Maybe in so doing the warning message will go away . Thank you for having spotted this.
