Need Help Calling My Landline Home Phone Number

Can someone please perform a test call to my home landline phone number. For some reason my MagicJack cannot make the connection. I keep getting a recording saying I should call ####### to set up a personal conference room. All I want to do is to be able to call my home phone number with MJ!
Can any of you help me? I've spent over 2 hours with MJ technicians...they havent been able to help me. Is it just my MJ or is there an issue with their system?

Unfortunately the OP resides in an area served by a 'rural' telco that charges very high termination fees for calling into their system. It is also home to a number of free conference call systems who encourage high incoming call volumes and share revenues with the local telcos. MJ has decided to blacklist these telcos from being called using the MJ network, an egregious act for which a REAL telco would be subject to fines/penalties by state and Federal telcom authorities. MJ does not discriminate between innocent home users and the miscreants and blocks all numbers associated with the telco in question.
This blocking tactic is also employed by Google Voice and Skype, but they just give you a disconnect tone, not a sales pitch to use their competing system as does MJ. Remember, MJ collects a few shekels for calls into their network.

Is MJ justified? Apparently so.

Can it be fixed? Fuggedaboutit.
