Answering machine question - Power outages

Post by CheeseKing »

Just a quick question here.. If I use an answering machine but the power goes out or some other unforeseeable-answering-machine-disabling catastrophe occurs, will MJ's voicemail pick up the call?

Yes the same way as if your PC was powered off. UNLESS you have call forwarding enabled.

Chances are if you do not know how to check it is enabled, you never enabled it.
BUT that being said. Just log into my.magicjack.com and then you will see a section, among others, to make changes. Just click on the call forwarding section. Of course if you use any addons to your MJ, like MagicFeatures, it is a lot easier.

Of course you can always call your MJ when your PC and answering machine is off and see if your calls go to voicemail.

Much obliged, friend!
