Area code 570 fails

About 2 weeks ago calls from area 520 to 570 fails. I get 3 brief busy tones then silence. Thusfar calls to other areas succeed. Calls using a non-magic jack phone to the 570 number are ok. The magicjack site recommended a new upgrade but the problem still persists. Anyone else experience this problem?

Here it is 4 days later since my last post and Area 570 is still dead. Killed a good half day with Tech support on this issue and they said they would pass a trouble report on to their engineers. The symptom is: dial 570 523-6255 (or any 570 5xx.xxxx number) and get three rapid busy signal beeps, then silence. Can someone dial this number and then report back as to the results?

Same thing here.......... Just tried it, 3 fast busy signals and then nothing...
What is your MJ area code and exchange?? mine is 484 661.xxxx

Thanks for the rapid response as difficult in dealing with the MJ support staff whether or not they actually called the failing area code before putting me through a lengthy step by step removing and reinstalling MJ. Now, thanks to your response we can assume the fault lies with the area 570 end and we can await corrective action.

I'm located in Southern AZ area 520.

The ONLY thing I trust their "support" to do is reset my account or my voicemail. That's it... They once told me to format my MJ when my voicemail was not taking messages. I told them no. If I were to put my MJ in a desk drawer my voicemail should still work. Therefore HOW THE HECK would formatting my MJ do diddly squat for a VM problem.. They reset the VM and all was well............ idiots...
I will try to call someone later who lives in that part of PA and see if I can get thru to her. I will let you know.. Have you tried any other 570 #'s??

I have my MJ setup in my PBX system from a 717 area code I get a message all circuits are busy.

Ok I just called my friend on her cell phone in the 570 area code and it went thru just fine...

As I recall area 717 is adjacent to 570 and the other day I tried a call to a fictitious 717 number and got a 'number out of service' message, which I assumed was because the number didn't exist, rather than being a problem with the exchange. So there may actually be a multi-area problem within the state.

I did try contacting the 570 523-xxxx number via both cell phone and our local Qwest service with NO problems so this is just an MJ outage.

The problem is this 570 number belongs to a quaint old country telco. You should contact MJ to let them know they are missing a database entry to call this telco's numbers

Crackerjack I see what you mean about 'good luck'. MJ was notified last week and the live support person said my complaint would be sent to the engineers. Nothing heard back. Complained again yesterday and was advised the engineers were notified. Still no joy. Area code 570 is still broken, sigh.

That was also my problem. I've already tried to consult it to the engineer many times but they always keep on saying that I should check the numbers I dial. That's what I always do, hope there will be a solution soon. This has been my problem for few months now.

UPDATE: Area Code 570 fixed! Not hearing back from the engineers at live support I did some snooping and found the boss's email, [email protected]. Received a prompt response back with the result that Area Code 570 is now working!
