Hi,
I'm having more issues with my MagicJack.
It seems it doesn't matter what computer I plug it into now, when I double click the MJ icon on the desktop to load MJ, up comes the image of the MJ and in red writting it says that I must plugin the MJ to a usb plug.
I've tried all the USB plugs on my laptop which it used to be working fine on and I don't know what could have changed to stop it from working, I then tried all the accessible USB plugs on my new desktop computer and again up comes the MJ image with the red writing to tell me to plug MJ into a USB plug.
Any clues where to go from here?
Laptop is Win XP
and Desktop is Windows 7
Any info you need to help me get MJ working again, please just ask.

Problem resolved: Drastic measures taken.
I got fed up with it, so I wiped the hdd and reinstalled Win XP from the disks that came with the HP laptop and low and behold it immediately recognized the MJ when I plugged it in, and MJ downloaded it's update and turned fired up fine. Seems to be running fine now once again.
The only thing I can think of that I had installed on the laptop was that damn Microsoft security essentials (which I've tried before a long while back and had issues of anything connecting to the internet) but unfortunately just uninstalling MSE didn't help the MJ situation, so since I don't use this laptop for anything other than running the MJ, I felt wiping it and getting a fresh copy of XP installed might help, and surely it did.
Now my next problem...
Does anybody have an recomendation on a digital phone/answering machine to use with MJ?
All the ones that I've tried with little exception, give "me" great quality of hearing the person on the other end, however they tell me that I'm constantly breaking up, or there is a lot of static on the line. I finally got the idea to try an old analog (think princess wall phone) style phone and now everybody tells me they hear me perfectly clear, however the princess phone means that I'm tied to the phone by a cord and it obviously has no answering machine.
So I'm looking for a digital phone in the average consumers price range that has a simple answering machine attached to it (has to be cordless as I'm constantly walking around the home office here), I need to know of one that works 100% with MJ as I don't care to buy and sometimes return anymore digital phones in an attempt to find one that works reliably which all of the ones I've tried thus far in the price range of $29.99 on up to about $119.99 have all failed at some point in time with regards to the person on the other end of my call hearing me clearly and without my breaking up or having huge amounts of static on the line.

What type of phone is that? Is that one of the phones that I see on the store shelves that have something written on the box like Dect 6.0?
Our last phone I believe used Dect 6.0 and now I've bought a more modern corded phone and it too works great. My guess is that there is something wonky about using a cordless phone in my home since all the cordless phones that we've tried have produced really poor quality either for the person on the other end or ourselves (but never both having problems at the same time for some reason).
