Can't dial 218 847 #

I'm happy with the way Magic Jack works. Except, one of the main numbers and one of the reasons we got Magic Jack was to call is 218 847 1776 and Magic Jack thinks it's a conference call and will not dial it. It is not a conference call # it is my wife's brother. He knows nothing about conference calling. I've spent over two hours in chat with support an they did not have a clew. I tried to get them to dial the # but they ignored me. The # is 218 847 1776. If I replace the last # which is 6 with any # above 6 the call will not go thru. If i replace the last # with any # below 6 the call goes thru. Does anyone have any Idea How I can call this #. Thanks

The solution described here works for reaching blocked numbers by routing calls via the Skype network: http://magicjackhacks.aforumfree.com/ma ... m-t141.htm

In addition to the "Skyjack" plugin, you will also need to download the Skype dialer from http://www.skype.com and deposit a small amount of calling credit with them if you want to call regular phone numbers. A little goes a long way.

This number appears to be served by QWEST. Ask your brother if he has ported the number to a small, local telco. If it is still QWEST, have him notify them that it is being blocked my YMAX (mj's telco partner)
If it is under a small, local telco, have him advise them it is being blocked by Ymax.

Also, search the forum for Dan Borislow's email addy and tell them of this anomaly. He will have one of his folks look into the matter
