Please Help, trying to get my MJ SIP details

Post by lwizardl »

hey I am trying to get my proper details from my magicjack so that I can put the details into my device and no longer need to keep the magicjack plugged into the computer and turned on.

I currently am a MJ Subscriber so I have the newest update and having troubles. All the current ways of getting the SIP details are not working on my magicjack. Anyone here got their details on their MJ recently like the last month or so ?

I got it last month using the sipdump method but its hard since you have to scroll through the whole file to find it. since its never in the same place. i found mine close to the end of the file. lets say 3/4 down the file. You cant miss it , its 20 characters long.

I have been able to pull them from jacks as newly purchased as of this morning.

Here is three articles i have written on this:

1. Running Sip dump: http://www.digitaloffensive.com/2010/03 ... ip-device/

2. Downloading the tools needed: http://www.digitaloffensive.com/2010/03 ... pdump-exe/

3. Auto retrieval: http://www.digitaloffensive.com/2010/06 ... retrieval/

Enjoy and let me know if you get stuck.

I need more info on the format of the pass. It's 20 or 21 chars with both digits and letters. But are the letters necessary (or at least usually) uppercase? Are there beginning and ending chars that are common to all passwords?

The key is to way to start dump program untill you see your phone number. An let it run 7 times. Then you should find password.

search for something else guys

I created 6 dump files and found mine this way:

I searched for "ProxyUserPassword" (without the quotation) and clicked the "find next" button 17 times using "notepad++" slowly and in every one of my files it was directly below ProxyUserPassword and on the 17th try within each file. The password is 20 characters long and all letters in CAPS mixed with numbers and it stands on its own line.

Also, I found the same password near these key words:

MagicJack/1.92.530e (SJ Labs) (this is the user agent and is somewhat different for some MJs so if you gonna search this, break it down a little like..... just use "MagicJack/" or maybe "(SJ labs)" just an idea....

ProxyUserPassword & NetworkContactsPassword are the best searches to start with. Playing around I have also found my password with both my MJ's in a few minutes with the following searches. Progress Calls Failed, SIPUDPPortRangeStart, DialPlanPatternXML, EnforceDialPlanPattern & ProgressContactsFailed. Magicjack/ also worked great as the password seems to be by the user agent in at least 1/2 of the dumps I have tried over the last couple of days. Using genx's automated retrieval is great and works fast.
