Mouse Disabled upon Bootup

Post by Larry Ross »

Hi, I'm a new MJ user and while it does work very well, my problem is with the mouse locking up once I get to the desktop when first turning on my PC.
The keyboard does work, however.

I can avoid this by unplugging MJ from the USB port, before rebooting. I hope this info will allow someone to suggest a fix for this problem.

MY O/S is WIN XP

Thanks

Larry

Last week my browser was hi-jacked.

After spending much time trying to get rid of the virus, I decided to re-install the O/S

I installed WIN-XP-SP2 and all drivers but did not install Skype, and I no longer have any problem with mouse, or anything else, freezing up when I turn on the PC!

I understand that the problem of mouse locking up when booting with MJ connected to USB port is quite common.

Has anyone else been able to solve this by un-installing Skype?

Just minutes ago, I installed my printer and Word Perfect. Will soon reboot to see if any of these might be the problem.

Well, I installed my Brother MFC 5890CN printer, and Word Perfect software.

Then I reboot, and the good news is that my mouse is not disabled.

THE BAD NEWS is that MJ is no longer functioning. I get a dial tone but cannot dial out or receive calls, and the softphone is no longer being shown on my desktop.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
