Phone rings forever or until reboot on incoming calls

Post by Public_Domain »

I thought I had this fixed, but switched computers and it's back! When I get an in coming call the MJ screen shows Accept/Reject, but if I pick up a phone nothing happens. Phones continue to ring until I reboot the computer. Thought it was an issue with my phone, but it went away before when I added another phone on a splitter. I figured it was a ringer equivence issue and added another phone icreased it abit. Now that I've switched computers, it's back again. Any body else have this problem? TIA

If you are using the extension cord which came with the MJ, don't as it can cause many weird problems. Also try to use a rear USB port and if that doesnt work you may want to try a POWERED USB hub.
You may also want to check in device manager the USB section that the power saving settings for the USB ROOT HUB ( there are more than one entry, so check them ALL) is unchecked.

Joe,

Was out of town, finally got back in to try what you suggested. Whoopie, it works! FYI, went back through and rechecked, it was the powered hub that made the difference. Thanks for the assitance.
