Incomming calls go right to voicemail - sometimes

Got MJ yesterday setup somewhat easy (after system update completed). Dial out works fine but incomming calls 50% go right to vmail. I'm very new to this and any help would be great. I tried to find answers in this fourm.

Maybe the power management is turned on for the usb that MJ is connected to. Means the computer turns the device off to save power when not in use.

Go to "Device Manager" ---> Universal serial bus controllers ---> right click on the USB hub that your MJ is using and click Properties ---> Power manegment ---> Uncheck " Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" ---> that should fix it.

Thanks for your response. I am using Vista Ultimate and a powered hub so I don't thick it is power mgmt and I am pretty sure its Vista. What happens is the incomming call goes right to voice mail. I eventuly get the call on MJ 5-10 secs later and the phone keeps on ringing untill I ignor the call.

I did check device mgr and no power mgmt enabled.

20:21 tried again and it worked. Rang three times - I hung up and ignore went accept/ignore went away. I'm not trying to use MJ to replace my home hard wired line I'm trying to get out cheap on US Long Distance charges. I am using a verizon usb760 modem and a cradlepoint mbr1200 router and I am out in the sticks. So I really think it might be latency on the incomming call. Speedtest and given from this site I was well within the necessary speed.

If you have more computers using the internet, then check your router for QOS option and use that. it really helped me. I had crazy latency.
